Troubleshooting:
Below you will find solutions for most common problems.
I have paid but not received any activation key. Navigate to our support page and submit the trasaction ID Number. You will find it on the PayPal Transaction Details page. If the transaction verification fails, please contact our support team. Map download from the WAP site crashes. Maps should be downloaded from inside the application. Please run GPS/J, navigate to Maps/Options/Manage Maps/Download, submit the key - the download will follow. During map download loadMap-IOE (-33) exception is raised. This is an IO subsystem error indicating some sort of network problems. In most cases - APN misconfiguration. Temporary lack of GPRS service can also be the cause. Try to download a raster map to verify the configuration! GPS/J does not see my GPS receiver. First refer to the description of supported devices! So far we have noticed problems with SiRF binary protocol switched on, mobile devices which expected signed midlets to communicate via the Bluetooth, and SonyEricsson stuff flashing the backlight off bringing the BT communication down as well. To be comprehensive - sometimes there was no GPS receiver at all. Installation of GPS/J was unsuccessful. There may be many reasons for that: - don't try to install the POI-equipped JAR on Nokia Series 40! - don't install the JAD file from a PC. Try it with the JAR archive! - clear up some space for GPS/J! - installing via OTA? Is the GPRS service operational? Activation key for a map is used up There is no limit for downloading a map from a GPS/J instance. But, if you reinstall the application, it will get a new serial number. Contact our tech support team and ask them to clear the S/N on your key! Activation key for GPS/J used up. The mobile business is generally a pay-per-download one. We grant you 2 downloads assuming that it is fair enough for successful installation, and that during the trial the installation path has been examined. Contact our tech support team if the limit has been exceeded! I have no GPRS service active, please send me the JAR/map via E-mail. For the time being, the only way to download the JAR is via our WAP site from a mobile browser! We don't send JARs via E-mails. In the near future the download to the PC using the Web browser will be available. Maps can only be downloaded via GPRS from inside the application. Not enough space for the map. If the is Nokia S40 or Motorola device in most cases there is no way to store anything bigger than ca 450kB. On other hardware try to clean up some space, remove unneeded games from the Java environment. License expired for the full version. GPS/J checks the license expiration date against the current date delivered by the GPS receiver. It sometimes happens that this device sends invalid/random date.
